Services
Four kinds of work, one way of doing it: a small senior team, a fixed weekly price, and a working release in your hands every Friday.
Web applications
Booking systems, customer portals, marketplaces and the admin screens behind them. Most of what we ship is a web app, and most of our web apps are still in use five years later.
What’s included
- Discovery workshops and a written scope you can take to other studios if you want to compare
- Interface design in the browser, tested on real phones from week two
- Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, checked with screen readers, not just a plugin
- Automated tests, preview deployments for every change, and error monitoring from the first release
- Hosting set up in your own cloud account, with a runbook your team can follow
- Typical length
- 8 to 16 weeks to first public release
- Team
- One designer, one or two engineers
- Stack
- TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Postgres
- Recent example
- Northfield Clinics booking system
Mobile apps
Apps for people who are on their feet: drivers, field engineers, nurses, warehouse staff. We build one React Native codebase for both platforms and drop into Swift or Kotlin when the hardware asks for it.
What’s included
- Offline-first data storage with conflict handling that we explain to you in plain English
- Camera, barcode, GPS and signature capture, tested on the cheap Android phones your staff really carry
- Internal test builds every Friday through each store’s beta channel
- App Store and Google Play submission, including the privacy questionnaires
- Crash reporting and a release checklist your team keeps after we leave
- Typical length
- 10 to 18 weeks to store release
- Team
- One designer, two engineers
- Stack
- React Native, Expo, Swift, Kotlin, SQLite
- Recent example
- Kestrel Freight driver app
Internal tools
Somewhere in your business there’s a spreadsheet with 40 tabs that only one person understands. We sit with the people who use it, then replace it with something that can’t be broken by a stray paste.
What’s included
- Two to three days shadowing the people who do the work today
- A data migration plan, rehearsed on a copy, so nothing is lost on switch-over day
- Role-based access, audit history, and exports back to CSV for whoever still wants them
- Training sessions recorded for new starters
- Typical length
- 4 to 10 weeks
- Team
- One or two engineers, designer as needed
- Stack
- Python, Django, Postgres, or a low-code tool when that’s honestly enough
- Recent example
- Garnet Lane Laboratories sample tracker
Rescue and maintenance
The agency has gone quiet, the original developer has left, and deploys happen on a Sunday night with fingers crossed. We’ve taken over more than twenty codebases in that state.
What’s included
- A fixed-price, two-week audit with a written report ranked by risk and cost
- Access, secrets and domains moved into accounts you control
- A test suite around the parts that make you money, before anything else is touched
- Dependency and framework upgrades in small, reversible steps
- Monthly support with an agreed response time
- Audit
- 2 weeks, fixed price
- Team
- One senior engineer
- Languages
- JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, Ruby
- Recent example
- Calder Valley Housing repairs portal

Questions we get asked
Can you give us a fixed price for the whole project?
We give you a fixed price per week and an honest range for the number of weeks. A whole-project fixed price usually means a padded quote and arguments about scope; we’d rather show you progress every Friday and let you decide when it’s enough.
Do you work with clients outside Leeds?
Yes. About half our clients are elsewhere in the UK and a few are in Ireland and the Netherlands. We travel for discovery and launch, and the rest happens on calls and in the weekly note.
Will you sign an NDA?
Of course, before the first call if you like. Our standard contract also assigns all intellectual property to you on payment of each invoice.
What’s the smallest project you take on?
A two-week rescue audit is the smallest thing we sell. For build work, anything under six weeks is usually better served by a freelancer, and we’re happy to recommend one.
How soon can you start?
We usually have one team free within four to six weeks. Our current earliest start is Monday 4 January 2027.
